NovaStar H_2x IP Input Card
The H_2x IP Input Card brings live network and IP-camera video directly onto the LED wall, ingesting streams over its two Gigabit Ethernet ports using the RTSP, GB28181, and ONVIF protocols. It decodes H.264 and H.265 (8-bit YUV420, I-frame and P-frame) streams from IP cameras, NVRs, and encoders, with a single card able to decode up to 4x 4KΓ2K, 8x 4KΓ1K, 16x 2KΓ1K, or 64x D1 channels at once. It installs in any input slot of the NovaStar H2, H5, H9, H15, and H20 modular video wall processors.

Ideal Applications
Perfect for a wide range of professional LED display scenarios
Security and surveillance video walls aggregating many IP cameras onto one display
Control rooms and command centers monitoring live RTSP/ONVIF camera feeds
City / traffic / campus monitoring centers pulling streams from GB28181 platforms and NVRs
Operations centers mixing IP camera feeds with other live sources on a shared LED canvas
Why an IP / RTSP-ONVIF input card?
RTSP, ONVIF, and GB28181 are the standard ways IP cameras and network video systems deliver live video. RTSP is the common streaming protocol carrying the actual H.264/H.265 video; ONVIF is the interoperability standard that lets cameras from different makers be discovered and configured the same way; and GB28181 is the platform protocol widely used to pull feeds from large camera-management systems. Because all three ride over standard Ethernet, you connect the card to your network rather than running a coax or HDMI cable from every camera.
Putting an IP input card in your H-series processor means camera streams that normally live only inside a VMS or NVR can be brought straight onto the LED wall, decoded in hardware, scaled, and arranged as windows alongside your other sources. Instead of one monitor per camera, a single card can decode dozens of streams at once and lay them out as a live monitoring mosaic, which is exactly what a surveillance or control-room display needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which protocols does this card support?
It supports RTSP, GB28181, and ONVIF β the three protocols listed in the official card specifications and confirmed in the H-series decode firmware, covering direct camera streams, platform feeds, and standards-based camera discovery.
What video codecs can it decode?
H.264 and H.265. The card decodes 8-bit H.264/H.265 YUV420 video using both I-frames and P-frames, as stated in the card's specifications.
How many streams can one card decode at the same time?
A single card's decode capacity is 4x 4KΓ2K, 8x 4KΓ1K, 16x 2KΓ1K, or 64x D1, depending on the resolution of the sources. Lower-resolution feeds let you decode more channels at once.
How does the card connect to the cameras?
Through its two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The card is DHCP compliant, so it can pick up an address automatically on your camera network, and it decodes streams delivered by cameras, NVRs, and encoders.
Which H-series processors is it compatible with?
It works in the input slots of the NovaStar H2, H5, H9, H15, and H20 modular video wall processors.
Can it pull feeds from an NVR or a camera-management platform, not just individual cameras?
Yes. The decode firmware handles both direct IPC (camera) sources and NVR sources, and GB28181 support lets it take feeds presented by a camera-management platform in addition to per-camera RTSP/ONVIF streams.
