NovaStar H_1x NDI Input Card
Bring full NDI® video into your H-Series processor straight over the network. The H-Series NDI Input Card decodes live NDI sources — PTZ and broadcast cameras, software switchers such as OBS, vMix and TriCaster, and NDI-capable hardware switchers — directly onto your LED wall over a single Gigabit Ethernet connection, with embedded audio and no external capture hardware. It accepts high-quality NDI sources up to 8-bit 4:4:4 at 4096×2160@60Hz and decodes them to 4:2:2/4:2:0 for the wall, with selectable latency and bandwidth profiles per source. The processor finds NDI senders automatically over mDNS, and also supports NDI Groups, an NDI Discovery Server, or a manual source IP — over unicast or multicast. A single card handles up to 1× 4K×2K@60, 2× 4K×1K@60, or 4× 2K×1K@60. Compatible with the H2, H5, H9, H15 and H20 modular video wall processors.
Retail first-order promo only. Dealer, custom-pricing, and terms accounts cannot combine this with special pricing.

Why NDI — and why it's perfect for LED walls
NDI (Network Device Interface) turns an ordinary Gigabit network into your video backbone. Instead of running SDI coax or adding capture cards, sources announce themselves on the LAN and your processor simply subscribes — cameras, playback machines, and software switchers all become available as named feeds.
For LED walls that matters because content rarely originates next to the processor. With NDI you pull a PTZ camera from across the arena, an OBS or vMix machine from the production office, or a switcher's program feed — all over one Ethernet run, with embedded audio, and no extra hardware at the wall.
This card decodes Full NDI (not the lighter, more-compressed NDI|HX), so you keep full image quality up to 4K with selectable latency for live work. Drop it into an H-Series slot and your video wall joins the same IP fabric as the rest of your production — fewer cables, faster changes, and sources you can re-route in software.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is NDI?
NDI (Network Device Interface) is an IP video standard that carries broadcast-quality, low-latency video and audio over a standard Ethernet network. It lets cameras, software and switchers share video without SDI cabling or capture cards.
Does this card support full NDI or NDI|HX?
It decodes Full NDI — the full-bandwidth, full-quality format. Full NDI delivers noticeably higher quality than the more compressed NDI|HX.
Does it accept 4:4:4 or higher-quality NDI sources?
Yes. The card accepts high-quality NDI sources up to 8-bit YCbCr 4:4:4 at 4096×2160@60Hz, then decodes them to 8-bit 4:2:2/4:2:0 for output to the LED wall — so you can feed it premium NDI feeds without worrying about format compatibility.
How many NDI streams can one card decode?
A single card decodes up to 1× 4K×2K@60Hz, 2× 4K×1K@60Hz, or 4× 2K×1K@60Hz, depending on the resolution of your sources.
What NDI sources can I use?
Any standard NDI sender — PTZ and broadcast cameras, software encoders and switchers such as OBS, vMix and TriCaster, and NDI-capable hardware switchers. The processor discovers available sources on your network automatically.
Does it support NDI Groups and an NDI Discovery Server?
Yes. The processor finds NDI senders automatically over mDNS, and you can also scope discovery to specific NDI Groups, point it at an NDI Discovery Server, or enter a source IP manually.
Does it work with multicast NDI?
Yes — it connects to both unicast and multicast NDI sources (TCP, reliable UDP, or multicast UDP, negotiated with the sender). For multicast, use a Gigabit switch with IGMP snooping enabled to keep traffic controlled.
Do I need a dedicated network for NDI?
Full NDI uses significant bandwidth, so a Gigabit network is required and a dedicated or well-managed VLAN is strongly recommended for reliable, low-latency performance. The card supports DHCP or a static IP.
Can I set a custom input resolution?
No — the card decodes whatever resolution the NDI source sends, so input timing follows the sender. It does support input source cropping for layout flexibility.
Which processors is this card compatible with?
The H-Series NDI Input Card works in the H2, H5, H9, H15 and H20 modular video wall processors, occupying a single input slot.
