Why the VX2000 Pro?

The VX2000 Pro folds a video processor and an LED sending system into one 1U box. Instead of a separate scaler/switcher feeding separate sending cards, it ingests your sources (DP, HDMI, 12G-SDI), composes layers from 12 × 2K×1K layer resources, and drives the wall directly over 20 Gigabit Ethernet ports plus 4 optical-fiber ports — up to 13 million pixels.

That all-in-one design is why it's a fixture on high-end rental, staging and broadcast jobs: fewer boxes to rack and sync, HDR10/HLG with 10/12-bit color, screen genlock and source hot-backup for reliability, and control from the front panel, NovaLCT, the Unico web UI, or the VICP app.

HDR
Tone-maps HDR sources onto the wall's own brightness range instead of clipping the highlights.
3D
Drives active 3D glasses through a 3D emitter. Side-by-Side and Top-and-Bottom sources halve the output capacity.
Genlock
Locks output timing to an external sync reference (bi-level or tri-level) so the wall stays in step with cameras and other devices on the same clock.
4K
10G Fiber
10G optical I/O - single-mode twin-core reaches 10 km, multi-mode 300 m. SFP modules are not fitted at the factory.
Light Sensor
Takes an ambient light sensor so screen brightness follows the room or the daylight instead of being set by hand.
Free Layout
Cabinets can sit anywhere on the canvas rather than on a strict grid, and port capacity counts the cabinets you actually hang instead of the rectangle enclosing them.
Low Latency
Shortens the processing pipeline for live camera-to-wall work. Mutually exclusive with some scaling and effect features.
Color Calibration
Per-pixel correction of the brightness and colour differences between modules and cabinets, so a wall built from mixed batches reads as one panel.
Mosaic
Splits one canvas across several devices so a wall larger than a single unit can drive still behaves as one screen.
12-bit
12-bit per-channel processing - finer gradients and more detail in the low greys than 8-bit, which is where LED banding usually shows.

Operating the VX2000 Pro

The VX2000 Pro is set up and run from NovaStar's Unico software, in the browser at the controller's own address - no dongle, no licence. These are its eight workspaces, with Unico's own icons.
