Troubleshooting and Configuration Notes

Rotating modules or cabinets in NovaLCT

NovaLCT supports clockwise module rotation values of 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees in the module information workflow. Cabinet rotation is also available in supported cabinet configuration workflows, including irregular cabinet construction and NCP management.

  • For module rotation, go through Screen Configuration > Receiving Card > Smart Settings, finish lighting the module, then open View Module or Check Module. In the Clockwise Rotation area, choose 0, 90, 180, or 270 degrees and send/save the receiving card configuration.
  • For cabinet rotation, use the cabinet configuration workflow. In irregular cabinet construction, use Set Rotation before sending the configuration. In NCP management, select Cabinet Rotation and send parameters.
  • Rotation support is tied to the receiving-card/cabinet configuration method and firmware capability. The manual identifies .rcfgx/.rcfg receiving-card workflows and NCP workflows; NCP restore notes specifically mention A8s Pro with firmware V1.2.0.0 or later. If the rotation option is missing, confirm the receiving card model, firmware, cabinet file type, and NovaLCT version.
  • Screen connection still needs to match the physical cabinet layout and Ethernet port loading. After rotation, send parameters to the correct receiving cards and save to hardware if the screen should keep the setting after power cycling.

Can NovaLCT rotate LED cabinets or modules 90 degrees?

Yes. In the NovaLCT receiving-card configuration workflow, module rotation can be set clockwise to 0, 90, 180, or 270 degrees from the module details/check-module screen after Smart Settings. Cabinet rotation is also available in supported irregular cabinet and NCP workflows. Whether the option appears depends on the receiving card model, firmware, cabinet/configuration file workflow, and the parameters supported by the hardware.

Is NovaLCT rotation limited by the controller or receiving card?

It is mainly a receiving-card and cabinet-configuration capability in NovaLCT. The sending controller provides the output and screen connection, but module/cabinet rotation is configured in the Receiving Card workflow and then sent to the receiving cards. If rotation controls are missing, check the receiving card model, firmware, configuration file type (.rcfgx/.rcfg or NCP), and whether the cabinet is regular or irregular.
