NovaStar MX_2xDP1.4 (8K@30Hz) Input Card
The MX_2xDP1.4 (8K@30Hz) Input Card brings two independent DisplayPort 1.4 inputs to NovaStar MX-Series COEX controllers (MX2000 Pro and MX6000 Pro), supporting preset resolutions up to 8K with HDR10, HLG, and HDCP 2.3. Two 8K-class DP 1.4 connectors on a single card double high-bandwidth ingest density for multi-source 8K layouts. Custom resolutions and frame-rate adaptation give programmers flexibility across large canvases.

Ideal Applications
Perfect for a wide range of professional LED display scenarios
Multi-source 8K-class walls needing two high-bandwidth feeds on a single slot
Dual-PC or main/backup creative playback into MX2000 Pro / MX6000 Pro systems
Large rental and staging canvases with side-by-side ultrahigh-resolution sources
Broadcast and corporate setups mixing two high-resolution graphics machines
Why two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs for an LED wall?
Big LED canvases often need more than one ultrahigh-resolution source β a media server plus a graphics PC, or a primary and a backup. Two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs on one card increase ingest density and let the COEX processor composite or switch between two high-bandwidth signals without consuming extra chassis slots.
DisplayPort 1.4 carries far more pixels than DP 1.2 or HDMI 2.0, so each input can feed a substantial slice of an 8K-class wall. Because bandwidth is shared across the link, the highest pixel counts trade against refresh β the top 8K mode is a forced lower-refresh timing while lower resolutions allow higher rates. HDR10/HLG and HDCP 2.3 keep premium and protected content correct; YCbCr 4:2:0 inputs require forced frame rates.

- Supports HDR10 and complies with SMPTE ST 2084 and SMPTE ST 2086 standards
- Supports HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma)
- HDCP 2.3 compliant, backwards compatible with HDCP 2.2/HDCP 1.4/HDCP 1.3
- Supports preset resolutions up to 8192Γ4320 (8K)
- Supports custom input resolutions
- Does not support interlaced signal inputs
- Many high-resolution and high-refresh-rate modes require forced resolution settings
- The table above only displays integer frame rates. Decimal frame rates are also supported, allowing for automatic frame rate adaptation
- When using YCbCr 4:2:0 input, all frame rates need to be forced. Standard graphics cards only support 4K resolution at 50/60 Hz. Other resolutions and frame rates require a source device that supports this color space and sampling to be forced.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many inputs does this card have?
Two independent DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, both rated for 8K-class signals, on a single card.
What is the maximum resolution?
Preset resolutions up to 8192Γ4320 (8K); the full 8K mode is a forced lower-refresh timing, while lower resolutions support higher refresh rates.
Which processors does it work with?
The NovaStar MX-Series COEX controllers β MX2000 Pro and MX6000 Pro.
Does it support HDR and HDCP?
Yes β HDR10 (SMPTE ST 2084 / ST 2086) and HLG, and HDCP 2.3 with backward compatibility to 2.2/1.4/1.3.
Why do high-resolution modes need to be forced?
Many high-resolution/high-refresh modes require forced settings, and YCbCr 4:2:0 input requires forced frame rates; standard graphics cards typically only output 4K at 50/60Hz natively.
Does it support custom resolutions and interlaced sources?
It supports custom resolutions with frame-rate adaptation, but does not support interlaced signals.
