Download a rebuilt .scr or a .uscr file. Your original calibration data is preserved.

What is an SCR file?

An .scr file is a NovaStar screen configuration created by NovaLCT. It describes how a full LED screen is assembled from individual cabinets — the overall screen size, every cabinet's position and pixel dimensions, and how those cabinets are wired to the sending card's output ports. This free tool reads all of it and draws the cabinet layout to scale, with no NovaLCT install required.

Edit the layout right in your browser

The SCR editor is a full builder: drag a cabinet to move it, drag its corner to resize, add or delete cabinets, reassign a cabinet to a different output port, and auto-wire the daisy chain (serpentine, by row, or by column). Then download a rebuilt .scr or a .uscr file. The .scr export keeps your original calibration and fine-adjustment data intact, so only the layout and wiring you changed are updated.

Frequently asked questions

What is an .scr file?

An .scr file is a NovaStar screen-configuration file. It stores how an LED screen is built from cabinets β€” the screen dimensions, each cabinet's position and size, and how cabinets map to the sending card's output ports and wiring order. It's the file NovaLCT creates when you map a wall.

How do I open an .scr file without NovaLCT?

Use the free SCR editor online. It opens the file in seconds and draws the cabinet layout to scale, with the screen dimensions, port mapping and per-cabinet positions β€” no NovaLCT install required.

Can I edit an .scr file in the browser β€” drag, add or delete cabinets?

Yes. Click a cabinet to select it, then drag it to move, drag the corner handle to resize, or use the toolbar to add and delete cabinets and reassign output ports. The layout updates live and you can download a rebuilt .scr.

Can it fix wiring that runs backwards?

Yes. The auto-wire tool renumbers the daisy-chain order across each port by position β€” serpentine/snake, by row, or by column β€” so you can correct a reversed or wrong wiring run and export the result.

What can I export?

A rebuilt .scr file and a .uscr file. The .scr export preserves your original calibration and fine-adjustment data β€” only the layout and wiring you changed are updated.

Is my uploaded file private?

Your file is uploaded over a secure connection and stored privately so our team can help and so you can revisit it later. It is never shared publicly.
