The A8s is a premium full-featured receiving card from NovaStar designed for high-end LED display applications. For PWM driver ICs, a single A8s supports resolutions up to 512×384@60Hz. For common driver ICs, a single A8s supports resolutions up to 384×384@60Hz. The card features NovaStar's exclusive Image Booster technology, which precisely calibrates the color gamut and grayscale of the screen, improving grayscale by 64 times for exceptional image quality. Additional features include pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration for uniform display performance, individual gamma adjustment for RGB channels, low latency for real-time applications, 3D support for immersive experiences, and HDR support for enhanced contrast and dynamic range. The A8s uses high-density connectors that resist dust and vibration, ensuring stable operation in demanding environments. It supports up to 32 groups of parallel RGB data or 64 groups of serial data (expandable to 128 groups), offering flexibility for various LED module configurations. A premium choice for high-end LED displays requiring superior image quality and advanced features.

How do I configure the A8s for my LED modules?
The A8s is configured with an RCFG configuration file loaded through NovaLCT (Screen Configuration, Receiving Card, Load Configuration File, then Save to Hardware). Your module or sign manufacturer supplies the file, or read it back from a working card. Olympian LED hosts a free browser-based RCFGX viewer at olympianled.com/tools/rcfgx-viewer to inspect any config file.
What controllers work with the A8s?
The A8s works with the full NovaStar sending lineup: VX all-in-one controllers, COEX MX controllers, MCTRL sending boxes, and Taurus multimedia players. Match the receiving-card firmware to your driver IC generation.
