The A5s is a versatile receiving card from NovaStar designed for standard LED display applications. A single A5s supports resolutions up to 320×256@60Hz, providing reliable performance for medium-resolution LED modules. The card features pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration to ensure uniform image quality across the display, individual gamma adjustment for RGB channels to achieve precise color reproduction, and 3D support for enhanced visual experiences. The A5s uses high-density connectors that resist dust and vibration, ensuring stable operation in various installation environments. It supports up to 32 groups of parallel RGB data or 64 groups of serial data (expandable to 128 groups), offering flexibility for different LED module types. Reserved pins allow for custom functions, making the A5s adaptable to specific application requirements. A reliable choice for standard LED display installations.

How do I configure the A5s for my LED modules?
The A5s is configured with an RCFG configuration file loaded through NovaLCT (Screen Configuration, Receiving Card, Load Configuration File, then Save to Hardware). Your module or sign manufacturer supplies the file, or read it back from a working card. Olympian LED hosts a free browser-based RCFGX viewer at olympianled.com/tools/rcfgx-viewer to inspect any config file.
What controllers work with the A5s?
The A5s works with the full NovaStar sending lineup: VX all-in-one controllers, COEX MX controllers, MCTRL sending boxes, and Taurus multimedia players. Match the receiving-card firmware to your driver IC generation.
