Kompass FX2 is the mid-range tier of NovaStar's Kompass FX software. It adds the hardware decoding and rendering power of a professional graphics card, separate live and pre-edit modes for safe on-air changes, 3D texture mapping, capture-device input and mosaic output across three channels - up to 8 mixing layers plus audio for larger fixed installations.

Runs on Windows 10/11 64-bit and benefits from a professional GPU for decoding and rendering. FX2 is activated with a USB dongle or registration code and drives up to 3 output channels. NovaStar pairs FX2 with the ET2S-G media server.
FX2 doubles the layers to 8, adds a second and third output channel with mosaic, introduces 3D texture mapping, live/pre-edit modes, capture-card input and keying/blurring - and uses professional-GPU decoding and rendering.
In live mode, program editing and playback are in sync; in pre-edit mode you build programs off-air before sending them to the screen - which makes on-air changes safe for events.
The NovaStar ET2S-G media server ships with Kompass FX2 preinstalled and licensed.
