Why a standard I/O control card?

Unlike the video input cards, the H_STD I/O Card is about control, not pixels. It turns an H-Series processor into a control hub that can talk to the rest of the room over serial, Ethernet, GPIO, relay, and infrared, so the wall processor can both react to and command external equipment.

Choose this card when your installation needs the processor to integrate with a larger AV control system or to automate actions: powering devices on and off via relays, triggering presets from contact closures, sending RS232/RS422/RS485 commands, or driving IR devices. It occupies an input slot, so it trades a video input for control capability.
